PIX manufactures Toothed belts which works on the principle of the wedging action so as to harness tension to create friction on the side wall of the pulley to transmit power. In comparison, toothed belts depend on the precise and smooth meshing of the teeth of the belt with the grooves of the pinion. A toothed belt is a non-slip mechanical drive belt, but can also be a belt having teeth molded on its inner surface to drive the pulleys. Rubber toothed belts are available in three categories:
